Technology & IT
$7,500 - $9,500 USD monthly
The role offers exposure to real engineering work, cross-functional collaboration and responsible AI-assisted workflows, including applying judgment and verification to AI-supported work. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to see how technology drives customer and business impact. You’ll partner with engineers, data and analytics specialists, product stakeholders and go-to-market teams; learn how ambiguous operational problems become reliable technical solutions; and gain hands-on experience across coding, debugging, data analysis, automation, documentation and system design.
What you’ll do:
- Complete assigned technical projects with attention to quality, incorporating feedback from your mentor, manager and peers
- Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end that contribute to Pinterest products and infrastructure
- Build, test, debug, and improve code, scripts, automations, internal tools or data workflows using guidance from experienced engineers.
- Investigate technical issues using logs, data, documentation and structured troubleshooting; help identify root causes, validate solutions and communicate findings.
- Participate in scheduled engineering on-call coverage during regular workdays and working hours, with guidance from experienced engineers, to help triage and document issues.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations and Support teams and, where relevant, communicate directly with external partners to understand requirements, clarify technical questions and contribute to practical solutions.
- Help improve reporting, monitoring, documentation, sample code, or support processes so teams can resolve issues and make decisions more efficiently.
- Use approved AI tools to accelerate research, coding, analysis, and documentation while validating outputs, protecting confidential information, and taking ownership of the final work.
What we’re looking for:
- This position requires current enrollment in a school or education program in which the individual is working towards a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, engineering, information systems or a related technical field.
- Obtain Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field by June 2028.
- Foundational understanding of programming concepts, debugging and testing, demonstrated through coursework, projects or prior experience.
- Experience writing and debugging code in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript or C++.
- Clear communication of technical thinking, thoughtful clarifying questions and effective collaboration with teammates.
- Comfort working with structured data in tables or CSV files and using spreadsheets to organize or review data.
- Experience using AI tools to support learning, research or technical problem-solving, with a practice of validating outputs through testing or source review and handling information responsibly.
