Product Commercialization Manager

Nutrafol United States Full-time 2 hours ago
Customer Support

$100,000 - $120,000 USD yearly

The Product Commercialization Manager supports the execution of Nutrafol's product innovation pipeline. This role helps turn product strategy into category-leading beauty/ topical products in the market - one of the company's highest-priority growth bets - all delivered on time, on budget, and at the quality bar our customers expect.

Reporting to the Sr. Product Commercialization Manager this role is the day-to-day project owner for Topicals Innovation, partnering across Marketing, R&D, Creative, RA/QA, Clinical, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales, and external manufacturing partners to bring structure, pace, and clarity to a fast-moving roadmap. As our topicals ambitions grow, you may also be asked to take on additional product development projects.  This role is built for someone who wants their scope to expand alongside a growing business.

You will also help maintain and improve the systems, processes, and tools that support our product development engine, using project management platforms, AI-enabled tools, and automation to support speed, transparency, and efficiency. If you're energized by turning plans into flawless execution and you want real ownership of a high-visibility project rather than a slice of many, this role offers that runway, with a clear path to take on more as you grow.

Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Timeline Management

  • Own the timeline and delivery of the topicals innovation program  and, as capacity allows, additional product development projects, helping ensure each initiative meets the defined scope, quality, timeline, and budget requirements
  • Build and maintain project plans, critical paths, and milestone schedules from concept through commercialization for topicals initiatives
  • Own stage-gate execution for topicals projects by coordinating kickoff, milestone, risk, and post-mortem reviews, and tracking decisions, owners, and next steps
  • Identify and flag risks, dependencies, and blockers on topicals timelines to leadership before they impact in-market dates

Resource & Capacity Coordination

  • Track resourcing across teams supporting topicals innovation to inform prioritization
  •  Help maintain capacity views that flag bottlenecks specific to the topicals roadmap and support trade-off conversations with the Sr. Manager
  •  Support translation of the topicals strategic roadmap into a phased, resourced execution plan

Stakeholder Communication & Visibility

  • Track and communicate topicals project progress with clear, timely updates for the project team and cross-functional stakeholders
  •  Own the cadence of topicals status updates, readouts, and launch readiness reports
  • Maintain a single source of truth for topicals project status, decisions, risks, and changes

Tools & Continuous Improvement

  • Use project management tools and platforms (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday, Wrike, Airtable, Jira) to run topicals projects, consistent with standards set for the function
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to support status reporting, risk detection, document generation, meeting summarization, and resource forecasting
  • Contribute to dashboards and reporting that turn topicals project data into actionable insight on cycle time, on-time delivery, scope changes, and resource utilization
  • Apply project management standards, templates, RACI models, and stage-gate playbooks established for the broader product development function

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as the day-to-day operational partner for Topicals Innovation to Product Development & Marketing
  •  Partner with R&D, Creative, Regulatory, Clinical, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales, and external vendors/co-manufacturers to align topicals timelines and deliverables
  • Support a culture of accountability, clarity, and forward momentum on the topicals project team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3–5+ years of project or program management experience, ideally including cross-functional product development experience in a CPG, beauty, wellness, healthcare, or consumer goods environment
  • Familiarity with FDA, FTC, and regulatory considerations relevant to supplements, wellness, beauty, or healthcare product development is a plus
  • CAPM, PMP, or comparable certification a plus (not required)
  • Experience supporting or delivering multi-workstream product launches on time, on budget, and within scope
  • Working knowledge of PM tools (Asana, Smartsheet, Monday, Wrike, Airtable, Jira, MS Project, etc.)
  • Interest or experience in leveraging AI, automation, and productivity technologies to streamline workflows and reporting
  • Solid understanding of project planning, resource coordination, risk tracking, and budget tracking
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to keep projects moving in the face of ambiguity
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work across both strategic and tactical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment
